This is a hard to beat Victorian garden flower that has died out with the Studebaker. Matts of fleshy leaves make big colonies and then, in late spring, send up knee to waist high thick stems with light candy pink sweet-William-looking flowers. Kind of looks like summer phlox too. It’s tough as nails and grows in hard clay. Prefers the presence of clothes lines.
