This magnificent winter interest angelica comes up in the late fall with a substantial fountain of glossy, shiny dark green divided fronds and, by spring, has grown waste high and as wide and then sends up fat lush stems of big greenish white panicles that remain showy until the heat of summer, when the whole thing slips quietly back into the ground.
